Do Help-> MicrosoftMoneyHelp, and enter "phone" into the search box.

You can back up to a hard disk, and then burn that .mbf file onto
your CDR with the software that came with your drive.

With Windows XP, you can back up to the "hard disk" that
corresponds to your CD/R drive. Browse to the drive from "My
Computer". That will put the file onto a staging area on your hard
drive. Consider modifying the backup file name to incorporate the
date.

Call and ask.

Note that to export/import with Money, each account needs to be a
separate QIF file. Then you import all at once with Ctrl+Shift to
select the files.

It was a QIF export from Quicken and then import into MS Money. Does MS fix
these files and then ship them back to clients? I did a SUPER VALIDATE to my
Quicken file, tried the wizard and then also tried the QIF export / import,
still failed.

Seems to be pointing at some unexpected structures in the Quicken data base
file, that MS Money can not understand ...

Can I get a refund from MS?

Are you sure it is not a QFX file that is coming from your bank? Or
are you referring to a QIF file you export from Quicken and
File-> Import into Money?

Will MS Canada give me a return for this since MS Money 2005 will not convert
my Quicken in any way? The Future Shop will not take it back now ...

Thanx

Default RE: Quicken XG 2004 to MS Money 2005 Cdn Std Edt

I attempted to export a QIF file of one of my chequing accounts, which works
fine in quicken, and allows internet downloafing of transactions from my bank.

When I tried to import the QIF file into MS Money, I got this error:

"The file you attempted to import appears to be invalid or contains corrupt
data. Please download the file again. If this problem continues, contact your
financial institution.".

No matter what combination of export options I choose, I get this error.

I also did download the latest MS Money updates.

Thanx
Shane

Default Quicken XG 2004 to MS Money 2005 Cdn Std Edt

I just purchased MS Money Cdn Standard Edition. The install was successful.
When the Quicken conversion wizard ran, it said, "Your Quicken file could not
be converted".

What do I do now? I can not return the software, as it is opened ... why
would it not convert my Quicken file?

I did a validate first and it came up clean and I have never had a single
problem with the data file.

Can I email the file to MS and have them do the conversion and have it sent
back to me?

Any help? I'm tired of that horrible Quicken product and their non existent
support.

I'm looking forward to some help from you all.

Thanx!
Shane
