| Yes, the import function only supports Quicken files and QIF. But which Quicken files? Since M and Q release about the same time each year, M can't yet know what this year's Q format will be when they release. For this reason, the M import of Q data is a year out of phase. M04 imports (successfully or so they say) Q03 and earlier. M05, Q04 and earlier. And so it goes. The workaround you found--QIF as an intermediary--is the only one there is for Q04 and earlier users. For Q05 users, you are stuffed as Q no longer supports QIF. They may have done this just for reasons related to restraining competition. On the other had, QIF is pretty deficient because it doesn't support many things that it should and isn't very tightly specified. | Assuming some of this worked, you might want to check to see if the missing accounts are set Closed. There is a pull-out menu over on the left side of the account list that will let you show/hide closed accounts. | Tough to say as Money 2004 only supports importing Money 2003 and earlier. I'm surprised you got this far. BTW, Money2005, which claims to convert Q04, is something I do not recommended. See http://umpmfaq.info/Money2005.htm. | Hello Folks, after importing my Quicken file into Money 2004 Std. some accounts are not showing up in the account list. They show up in the pull down list of accounts when setting up scheduled transactions in the calendar etc. How can I get them to show in the account list? TIA Graeme. |
