| Thanks Cal, I've got bad news and good news. The bad news is all of the "Value names", "Types" and "Values" data were correct. The good news is that your replies made it obvious that I had not done a detailed search of the Microsoft Knowledge Base. I went back to the Knowledge Base and found "Cannot remove previous version" error message when you install Microsoft Works or Microsoft Picture It! Artical ID 313928. The article recommended running Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. I did. It removed Money 2002 System Pack. and I was able to re-install Money 2002 without any problems. Thanks again. Sorry to hear that.> Money re-installed. During the installation I got the same message. After > "X"ing through the errors Money installed, however the message returend when > I went to start Money. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;886549 also references error 1606. Money 2002 is not listed as something that article applies to, but it might still apply. |

| I need some help. When starting Money 2002 I get an error message with a window title of "Microsoft Money 2002 System Pack". The error message is "Error 1606. Could not access network location (a box that indicates an unprintable character):." The error interrupts the Windows Installer. After "X"ing out of the error (twice). Money opens again "Error 1606. Could not access network location (a box that indicates an unprintable character):." Occurs. After "X"ing out of the error (twice) I can do some work in Money but the error pops up when I am moving around. I have done a number of things but have not been able to clear the problem: 1) I tried to un-install Money 2002 and Money 2002 System Pack. Money 2002 un-installed. Money 2002 System Pack would not un-install. The same error message would appear. After "X"ing through them I would get a "Fatal Error" and the un-install program would abort. 2) I removed the Money 2002 and Money 2002 Service Pack from the register. I could still not un-install the Money 2002 Service Pack. 3) I tried to re-install Money 2002 from the CD. The same error message appeared. 4) I rolled back the system to September 5, 2004, the earliest date I could, and it did not correct the problem, However, I am not sure that it was working in September. System: Gateway P4 1.8GHz Memory: 750 MB OS: XP Home with SP2 Thank you in advance |
