They might. I guess there were more pressing bugs to fix in the last update.

The average user should not have to do this sort of thing. Why doesn't
MS update the software to fix the problem?

This is a correction of the earlier post:

The solution is to manually create the following key and DWORD:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Money\14.0\On line]

"CallallProgress"=dword:00000000

If you copy the four lines between the begin/end lines below
into a file called HideCP.reg, you can double-click HideCP.reg in
Windows Explorer to create the key which will implement the change.

==========begin:HideCP.reg===============
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Money\14.0\On line]
"CallallProgress"=dword:00000000
==============end:HideCP.reg=============

The solution is to manually create the following key and DWORD:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Money\14.0\On line]

"CallallProgress"=dword:00000000

If you copy the four lines between the begin/end lines below
into a file called HideCP.reg, you can double-click HideCP.reg in
Windows Explorer to create the key which will implement the change.

==========begin:HideCP.reg===============
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Money\14.0]
"UseDualCatMode"=dword:00000001
==============end:HideCP.reg=============
