I have sometimes found that it will work when it is the only one asked
for in the update, but will not work in a group. Then tonight BoA
failed 3 times from Money 2005 (5 minute wait on each before timing
out), I went to OnYodlee and it worked there, came back to Money 2005
and failed again before working. It is all miysterious. Concerning the
original question, once I have gotten the generic error updates are
temporarily not available I have never recovered without creating a new
account pointing to a new set of passwords to the bank. I have reported
that generic error message and that is what MS help has had me perform.

In other words, will it work later at night or on weekends, but fails more
often during market hours (especially around open/close).

If it's "always" failing, but works fine on other computers, then it is
likely something specific about that computer: AV, Firewall, Proxy Server,
browser security settings, etc.

No, there isn't anything to do with Internet. It's somehow not saving the
password for each financial institutions. Even when you create a new
financial institution to download statements, it said that the service is not
currently avaialble.

I even removed all my banks from online updates... and left stocks and quotes
only but still can the same error

I have been having a similar problem for the last couple of days. In my
case it is only 1 financial institution that isn't updating (Net Bank).
My passwords are all filled in on the list so the problem may not be
related. However, on the account list page for the 3 accounts I have at Net
Bank
it says "update in progress".
