Make it a cash account, not an asset account. Then the option will be
available in details. The only advantage to an asset account is the ability
to tie to a loan. Clearly unnecessary in this case and it trades off the
feature you do want.

I am using MS$ 2004 Deluxe. As Money does not have a decent savings goal
feature in it, I use asset accounts to maintain savings goals for me. For
example, if I am planning a vacation and want to put aside $1,000 for it, I
would create an asset account and over time I would transfer money into that
account from my checking account. When I want to use the money for the
vacation, I just transfer it all back into my checking account.

The issue, I am having though is that all my transfers to my "savings goals"
are considered to be expenses as transfers out of budget accounts. Is there
some way I can include the asset accounts in my budget so that these
transfers are not seen as expenses? I cannot find any option to include them
in the budget like checking accounts and credit card accounts have.

Default Asset Account in Budget

I am using MS$ 2004 Deluxe. As Money does not have a decent savings goal feature in it, I use asset accounts to maintain savings goals for me. For example, if I am planning a vacation and want to put aside $1,000 for it, I would create an asset account and over time I would transfer money into that account from my checking account. When I want to use the money for the vacation, I just transfer it all back into my checking account.

The issue, I am having though is that all my transfers to my "savings goals" are considered to be expenses as transfers out of budget accounts. Is there some way I can include the asset accounts in my budget so that these transfers are not seen as expenses? I cannot find any option to include them in the budget like checking accounts and credit card accounts have.

Thanks,
