In IE6 Tools-> InternetOptions-> Security-> LocalInternet-> DefaultLevel (medium-low) and click Apply. Does that help? It is possible that new user in Win2000 is not set up as it is in XP. I would then be thinking firewall. However you might retry on Saturday when less is going on, and/or let it run for a while. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, jrjhall wrote: > > > > money 2005, version 14.0.6.910, with win 2000 > > > > I would suggest you set up a new administrative user. You can delete the new user. Let us know how it proceeds. |

| I had to update to Money 2005, from Money 2002 -- I got a message saying my bank is going to stop supporting the 2002 version, and I won't be able to update my account, etc. The problem I'm having with the 2005 Standard version is the updates. With 2002, all the account updates, quotes, and Money updates would complete in less than 1 minute with a cable modem connection. Now, with money 2005, the Account Information updates normally, but it stays on "Updating Quotes & Other Web Info" for over 5-10 minutes! And then my accounts won't display any of the updates until the entire process is complete. So my question is, is this normal? Do the updates take this long for everyone? Or do I just need to re-install or change some setting? Just a side note: It was annoying enough to feel *-forced-* to buy the new version, but then finding out all the issues with the 2005 version is certainly no help either. Judging from the long lists of issues and problems with this version, it really looks like MS dropped the ball on this one -- maybe rushed to release it? |
