Thank you very much Cal. The re-conversion worked flawlessly. I will miss the
cash flow graph at the bottom. I used that quite a bit when setting payment
dates. Unless you have another suggestion, I guess I’ll have to get use to
switching views. If you have any pull with MS or can point me in the right
direction, I feel that should be an option as to whether or not the graph is
there. Thanks again,

Rich

Yes. That graph slows things to update that as you make each entry.

My version is 14.0.120.1105.
I believe this it the updated version as the program displayed a message
about updating while installing.
I will repost with the results on the re-conversion. Let’s say I'm hopefully
pessimistic at this point. Has the cash flow graph been removed from the
register view? That would be a disappointment.

Any and all help is greatly appericated.

Money made a copy of your Money 2004 file as *.m12.

Does Help-> About show a version number of 14.0.125.12?.1105? If so,
you have applied the update. You might try this if you have not made
too many changes to your new file already:

1. Close Money.

2. In Internet Explorer delete your browser temporary files with
Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles.

3. Copy the *.m12 file to *.mny. Open that *.mny with Money 2005.
Let Money re-convert.

Any improvement?

Did you install the new patch? I'm a long time Money user who is using 2004
and is staying away from 2005 entirely. Hopefully by the time 2006 comes out
they will have worked out the bugs, but then again I have been saying that
to myself since Money 97. LOL

Default Just updated to Money 2005 what a mess

I just brought home Money 2005 Deluxe, installed it and opened my accounts to
a disaster. Bills, still showing on the calendar are not appearing in the
bill/deposit list. My cash flow graph is gone from the check register screen.
The cash flow chart in the cash flow screen is now completely wrong. For some
reason I now have hundreds of overdue bills and deposits from as far back as
2002, which weren’t present in Money 2004, that are causing my cash flow to
be completely bogus. Starting account balances, void, reconciled, cleared
status didn’t properly convert. Everything was perfect in Money 2004. Why
would Microsoft due something to completely destroy what I had set up and
cause me so much work to make it right. Its not like I was converting from a
competitors program, then I would expect the problems. Maybe I should have
been converting to a competitors program for that matter. Anyway, the
hundreds of overdue bills and deposits in the cash flow screen are the
biggest concern, along with the cash flow graph in the register view. If
someone could help me get these issues resolved, I can deal with the rest.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Rich
