| I had a little better luck than you. I was able to get the Budget screen back by doing a Level 2 repair on my Money file. This is good, because the last backup I have is before I did all the manual budget fixes in the first place and a lot of dividend fixes from my original 2003 import. I really hate this budget though. I can't seem to get an additioanl $3000 that it's adding over the next couple months for "Debt". Plus I'm sure this is going to follow month to month like the payroll error did. And why in the world does the Budget recogonize my mortage loan, but not my car loan? Graham S. "Christopher Glenn" wrote: - quote - > This is a sh#tty bug. | This is a sh#tty bug. Last night I opened up a file, did "screen captures" and had to start from scratch with a new money file. I had the same thing. The "budget" function wouldn't appear. Hit the button--and it won't come up--it just stays on planning, taxes, etc--where you lat were. I deleted a bill--and all bills disappeared....I guess they should have signed us all up as beta testers--cause that's what this is--a beta test. | Ok now I'm at the point that I'm receiving errors and crashs from MS Money 2005 (Deluxe/Business) and I hope my data isn't corrupted. I spent hours last night manually fixing the budget bug where budget amounts would be double/triple their original value (of course, they were payroll categories). I put all the bad data in a category called "_BudgetErrorsDoNotDelete". Today I played with the debt reduction planner and it created a budget entry that was not tied to my recurring bill payment. I ended up deleting it, but my budget kept on giving this outrageous value for the "Debt" group for the current and next month. I decided to delete my recurring bill, which then caused my Budget screen not to show but instead I got "This operation cannot be performed." caught in an infinite loop. I had to kill Money and start it up again. When I did the Budget screen does not show up anymore, I get kicked back to the screen I was originally on. Also there is this blan entry in the "Bills & Deposits" screen. I tried to re-create the Bill, but it doesn't help. I know the Budget was broken in the first place. But I was still going to work around it. I need to get this resolved. Graham S. |
