| Thanks for answering my question Dick. I missed the "Show effects of inflation" checkbox on the reports page. It was unchecked by default. -Derek "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > The LP accounts for inflation and can be set to show this effect (i.e., > then-dollars) or not (i.e., constant dollars). | The LP accounts for inflation and can be set to show this effect (i.e., then-dollars) or not (i.e., constant dollars). There is also a setting where you can set the inflation amount. I'm not sure where it is in M05 (probably the same place--I don't recall any changes in LP, once you get into it) but in M04 there's a checkbox on Lifetime Savings Forecast "Show effects of inflation" and the setting for average inflation rate is under Taxes and Inflation. | When I add a yearly living expense amount to the "lifetime planner" in Microsoft Money 2005, it does not seem to automatically increase this amount each year to account for inflation. Is there a way to do this? It looks like you can add adjustments for things like having a child, etc., but I don't see anywhere to automatically increase spending each year. It is not realistic to think that someone would spend the same amount every year as living costs increase. Thanks |
