Close the first account if you like. Then do future transactions in the new account. Alternatively you could do a QIF export of the old account as a loose QIF. Delete the old account. Then import the QIF file as a new or recovered account into the NewInvestmentAccount(cash). However if that old account included transfers, the result may have problems you would have to find and adjust. Keep a copy of the file before trying your changes in case you want to return to what you had. |

| Please pardon my ignorance, but I've been trying to figure out how to do what you've suggested for about an hour, and I can't seem to get it. I can create a new investment account and make it a watch account. However, how do I make this existing account an investment account? Thanks. -Drew "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:7gmhq0d0jai08vouihi0di5dkfbdgrh2bj[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Drew Carter wrote: > > I have a joint account with my roommate that we keep our rent/utilities > > in. > > I don't want it to show up in my money (or, I at least don't want it to > > factor into my total account balance). | I have a joint account with my roommate that we keep our rent/utilities in. I don't want it to show up in my money (or, I at least don't want it to factor into my total account balance). I can't delete the account, unless I remove all accounts for this bank. Is there anything I can do here? Thanks. -Drew |
