| Thanks for the responses. Some of the MS KB articles no longer exist. Apparently, my archive file is simple a backup at that time. Perhaps, I can export my new transactions and import them into the archive and then use that as my "normal" file. However, I think I am probably stuck with 2 files. |

| Now you know why many of us never archive! Once you have archived that is it - you can never recombine. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | That's how archive works. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=29. | Several months ago, I archived year 2003 transactions from my mny file into a separate file. Recently, I realized that it's been a really long time since I reconciled my "checkbook". It was last reconciled 9/2003 meaning that my archive included unreconciled transactions. I loaded my archive file and started catching up. In fact I got so far as 6/2004 when I realized that I had been reconciling my archive instead of my normal file. It is interesting that my archive had current transactions in it to reconcile! Hopefully I am not screwed up to badly. Do I have to re-reconcile 1/2004 thru current or can I somehow recombine my archive with my normal file. Thanks, Gary |
