| I am having the exact same problem as well! To make it even more annoying, there is no way for me to properly export all of my data and then import it into another money file. So I either have to recreate all of my non-register information, or I have to deal with only having the essential budget. Very very annoying! Somebody please figure out how to enable the advanced budget !! Lowell Steve Hinkle wrote: - quote - > I tried the repair route - but it did not correct the problems. | I tried the repair route - but it did not correct the problems. Do you have any other ideas? | I've got this same problem. It's a bug somehow. What happens to me is that, now, after working a long time on setting up a budget, the "budget" button or title bar button doesn't take you to budget. It tries and then defaults back to the section it was on (Planning, Taxes, etc.) I'll try the suggested fix that LHOgan suggests and let you know if that works around the bug.... | You must first remove all the values in Income/expense. Once this is done you should be able to switch. You will have to start from scratch with the budget but it worked for me! | I would guess a repair on the file would be the first point of call. Take a backup of the file and then use the repair options on the file-> menu -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. To send Microsoft your wishes or suggestions, use http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp or http://www.microsoft.com/uk/support/money/feedback especially if it's a UK specific wish. I do not respond to any unsolicited email regarding Money "Steve Hinkle" <SteveH9034[at]cox.net> wrote in message news:G0Jpd.51742$GN4.38664[at]okepread02... - quote - > I have previously setup my budget in MS 2004. | I have previously setup my budget in MS 2004. When I upgraded to 2005, the default setting is Essential budget. When I click the link to switch to the Advanced setting - it cycles like the program is trying to do something but ultimately defaults back to the original essential view. Is there a way to repair this problem in '05? Steve |
