Default Re: V2003 - performance

I ran Money 2003 on a 300 MHz computer. It was a while ago, but if you
have to do it, then you will need to:
1) put as much memory in the machine as you can.
2) turn off the budgeting features. I can not remember exactly where it
was found but I went through each account and said "do not include this
account in the budget" I even went throught the budget to turn it off.
3) Turn off the alerts. You do not need it performing any background
analysis.

Thus you can do basic accounting on the muesum antique that you own.
But for a very few dollars you can find upgrade to a machine that will
support the new features in 03, 04, or 05.

M03 is two versions obsolete. (Not that M05 is way faster or anything.) The
Money Team claims they work performance very hard. They are probably
constrained by their choices of core technology to build this on that don't
come from the Money group. Who actually tries to us a 166 MHz Pentium to run
it? (Not that it's blinding on the fastest hardware money can buy.)

I agree with Dick. It's too slow. Is MS concerned?

Many of us don't believe it, either. Well, maybe don't believe is too harsh.
But if you had a monthly bill to enter, it might be ready after entering
last month's in time for entering this month's.

Default V2003 - performance

I'm using V2003. The box it came in says the program requires a
computer with 166 mhz (min).

I don't believe it will run on 166mhz computer (too slow).

Any Comments!
