Try entering a fake dividend for the *stock*. Then right-click the
transaction and choose "Go to investment". There you should be able
to change the stock symbol.

Then delete/void the fake dividend.

There is probably an easier way, but I don't find it either.

Portfolio|Work with investments|Choose an Investment was how you got to a
page to change specifics--including symbol and name--about an investment in
M04. I can't say where they moved it to in M05 from memory.

Default Change Stock Symbol in Stock Options Account

I have a stock options account with my company. However, about mid-yar theyy
changed their name and therefore their stock ticker symbol. I need to go
into my investment portfolio to change the ticker symbol in that account
since the old symbol has stopped working and no longer retrieves data. I
have looked and looked, but see NOWHERE in the account where I can change
the
symbol. I have looked in Account Details, etc but nowhere do I see anything
that allows me to change the ticker symbol. There is something about the
'underlaying stock' which I assume that if I could get to it I could change
the symbol there - but again, nowhere can I find anything that allows me to
get to this underlaying stock.

This is really stupid, and Money is now starting to tick me off (even though
I have used it since the original version). So... anyone know how this is
done in 2005? The only other thing I can think of is to delete the account
and reenter it (and all the data) under the new name/symbol.

Thanks in advance.
