| If you are talking about two machines syncing local Money files with a MSN served account, that's not the way I understand what they've done. I could well be wrong. My understanding is that the point of the M05 "File Sharing" value add is that they've enabled multiple Passports to be associated with the web account so that, say, your lover can login to the web Money subset using her Passport, update it, and then you get the updates back in your local copy. The point was to make it possible for you to grant access to the web data without having to share your Passport. I don't believe they enabled TWO correspondent Money data files to synchronize through the SAME web served data set. (This would suggest shipping the entire data set to the server in order to get it to the second machine. My file's 52MB. I don't think that's what they are doing.) Anybody lurking who knows better, please correct me if I'm wrong. | Money 05 provides Web access to your data file if you set up a passport. It is then available on moneycentral.com. However it does not have the look and feel of Money on your local machine. If I understand it, you can also install money on a second computer and point to the same file and it will then keep both machines up to date so you can then have the full features on both machines. The other way to do this (in addition to a file server as has already been pointed out) is to use PC-Anywhere or a like program to allow you to remotely run your pc and your single data base. | Let me restate part of that: If you want to get to a copy of some subset of your data from a web client, make some but not all forms of updates, then synchronize the updated web copy with your desktop, and are willing to store your data on an MSN web server secured via your Passport to do it, check out what the on-net help calls, misleadingly, "file sharing". | Not unless you share your local file system over some network you can get to remotely. If you want to get to a copy of some of your data from a web client then synchronize the web copy with your desktop, and are willing to store your data on an MSN web server to do it, check out what the on-net help calls, misleadingly, "file sharing".
