You were talking about "DTv Group Fund" and "DTV".

Are you wanting to know how to change something defined as a stock
into a fund?

This is an answer to the question I think you might be asking:

Rename DTV to be zzzz1. Blank the symbol.

Modify each transaction of DTV to make the investment be "DTv Group
Fund".

Make the symbol of "DTv Group Fund" be DTV. Rename "DTv Group Fund"
to something else if you prefer.

If no occurrences of zzzz1 appear for a while, you can feel free to
delete zzzz1.

If that does not accomplish what you are trying to do, explain why.

If you want to know how to do a step or so, let us know.
Right-clicking on a reference to the investment and choosing a
GoTo.... is usually the easy way to start.

I can't speak for M05 where downloaded data is involved, but in general you
cannot map two investments to the same symbol but need to reduce these to
the same one investment. This involves changing transactions in the second
investment into transactions in the first.

Default 2 Investments 1 Symbol

I seem to be having this problem since the upgrade to Premium 2005. When
investments are downloaded from Fidelity, one comes in as "DTv Group Fund"
which is the same thing as DTV. In the portfolio View, this investment
shows no symbol to the left of it's name, so how can I map "DTv Group Fund"
to "DTV' so they use the same symbol?
