If the problem is the name and not the symbol, enter a fake dividend> I am trying to rename an investment called Fedilty US Bond Index to > Fidelity Us Bd Index. Money will ask if you want to un-delete that investment. Say yes. Then change its name. Blank its symbol. Now you will be able to use the name and symbol again. |

| Money Premium 2005 I am trying to rename an investment called Fedilty US Bond Index to Fidelity Us Bd Index. I'm R-Clicking in the Portfolio Manager, and when I try I get the error message "The Name or symbol Fidelity Us Bd Index is already being used for an existing investment. Please enter a different name." I can find no reference to this investment anywhere in my file, even in closed accounts. Where might it be picking this up from? I think I did enter this originally a year ago, and entered it wrong as a Stock instead of a Mutual Fund, which is why I re-entered it. However I can't find any record of this name?? So where can I find Fidelity Us Bd Index in my file, and maybe change it to a Mutual? Thanks |
