Not that I know of. That should have worked with the value displayed
as the number of shares times the price you entered.

Something new came out today that may be of use to you. GLD is the
symbol for a new ETF that represents 0.1 oz of gold.

What you might do is to do a 10 for one split of your "stock" and
then in the details make the symbol be GLD.

No idea on that, unless you set it up as a bond instead of a stock.

How there

I recently bought some physical gold (nicely stored away) I bought it
$412 and its now $436 - all good. I set it up in M04 aas though it was a
a stock (quantity for number of ounces and the price which I manually
update).

All good.

However, despite the fact that I have made good money on the gold M04
insists I have lost money on this?

So my question is:

1. is there a better way to record a commodity?
2. if there isn't why is money screwing this up but not other stocks i
manully update?

Thanks,

Paul
