| Tracking project expenses I'm using Microsoft Money 2004 Standard Edition, and would like to "hear" your suggestions on how to track personal project expenses (for example: moving, a particular trip, a dating - why not?, and so on). Right now I have been dealing with this using an account created for the particular project and registering expenses as a split: the actual expense and a counterpart negative transfer from the real account being used. In that way I'm able to inquire the expenses in the project account, while keeping it with a cleared balance (0.00), since it isn't a real account. The disadvantage of this approach is the time and consciousness required for registering transactions. I will appreciate your comments and suggestions! |
