Went from Money2004 to Money2005. I have dial-up and now it tries to dial
out whenever I start Money. I contacted tech-support about this and here
is their last reply. " have contacted our Product Group for further
information on this behavior. Based on the feedback from their side, they
have confirmed that Money needs to download the currency exchange rate to
obtain accurate results in Money 2005; also, Money Updates is implemented
automatically to make sure the program is up-to-date. Both activities
require Internet access. Unfortunately, we cannot change Money 2005's
behavior on this update. If we disable the automated dial-up in Internet
Options, other applications will be unable to dial automatically. Therefore,
our best option might be continue using Money 2004 if you are concerned

This makes it very user unfriendly to users with dial-up. I went back
to Money2004 which doesn't do that. I am now afraid to upgrade in the
future.
