| I stand corrected by Michael's answer. So, install M05 and hack the registry key--it's my policy not to aid and abet registry hacking, if you know enough to do this safely you can probably figure it out. | Leave out the "Program Settings" and I found the check boxes. They are checked so I guess I have to wait for a dividend date to come due and see what happens. Thanks for the information. | I know M05 removed the option - that is what we are complaining about. We do not like the single list. My point was that on my home machine, with M05, I still have two lists. Therefore, there is still some switch somewhere that tells my home machine to continue to show two lists. "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > It's a whole lot simpler than you make it out to be. | It's a whole lot simpler than you make it out to be. M04 has the option (Tools|Options |Categories|Use single list...) and M05 removed the option and selected the single list. | I am having the same problem of just a single list of Categories - including Sub-Categories. I prefer the two separate lists. Anyway, I transport my Money file back and forth from home to the office. On my home machine with Money 2005 I still have two separate lists - That machine I upgraded from 3004 to 2005. In the office I have only the single list - This one I installed new. Therefore, somehow on my home machine it "remembered" that I wanted two lists. You are correct. There does not seem to be any switch in 2005 to select 2 lists. I compared the Register on my home machine and my office machine and the entries dealing with Categores are coded the same. But somewhere there is something that is telling my home machine to make two lists. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.
