| I have never been able to get BP to respect begin date, end date, or number of transactions remaining. Granted, I haven't revisited this on M05. | Good suggestion but be careful using this as "skipping transactions" will still load them to your budget, so even though you were never planning on paying during the winter months your budget would increase for that amount. There are a few ways to handle this, 1 if your not concerned at all with budgeting would be the above suggestion, just skip the transaction for as many time preriods as required. 2. if your not to concerned with your long term budgeting would be to change the date in the bills and deposits section for that transaction after the last transaction for the season to the first transacation of the new season. 3. I think that the most accurate way to budget would be to create a transaction series for each year, use the "this series will end" functionality and use a specific date or the number of transactions remaining. then for the following year do the same thing with the start transation future dated and limit it based on the "this series will end functionality".... hope this helps... | You can also just edit the bill series to make the next payment be something like May 1 of next year. That way you don't have to skip the payments each month. Thanks In addition to Donnie's suggestion - you can schedule more than one recurring bill - for example, "spring lawn service" from March to August weekly, then one "fall lawn service" in November. What Money is not capable of, however, is scheduling the series of yearly bills; you would have to schedule each visit as separate annual bill. Vadim |

| I have encountered this myself. There is no way to "program" this in. What you can to is continually skip only the "next" payment is on the month that you want it on. You do not need to delete. So for example today, I hit "Skip this occurrence" five times, for a seasonal bill that I will not be paying for five months. | I use MS Money for my checking account and billing reminders. It automaticly reminds me about regularly scheduled bill and deposits and will red flag an item until I pay it or record the deposit. That works great for recording my paycheck and paying the telephone and electric bills. The question is how do I put a temporary hold on seasonal transactions without deleting the account permenently? For example I have a lawn service that comes and mows the lawn from spring through the end of summer, then he comes once to rake up the leaves at the end of fall. I will not see him all Winter. He will start again sometime in spring for the first cut of the season. I want to somehow tell MS Money not to schedule a payment from now until then, without deleting the acount and having to recreate it next spring. Thanks |
