| Tools|Find and Replace can do what you are asking for existing transactions in both cases a) find all for a given payee and change category, and b) select all of some criteria and then check to select which of these should be changed, en masse, to a new category. Setting the AutoComplete option will get it to reuse these categories next time you enter a transaction for the same payee. | I imported the last 6 months of my credit card activity. Although some of the transactions were correctly categorized, most were listed under the Miscellaneous category. 1. Is it possible to setup money so that if I tell it , say, "Russian River Brewing Company" is Food ining Out, it will automatically reclassify *all*of those transactions as Food ining Out, or do I have to go throughone-by-one and select the correct category for every Russian River Brewing Company transaction over the last 6 months? In other words, can I tell money *once* what category a transaction belongs to and then have money recognize that for future transactions and take care of it automatically? 2. While looking at the transactions by category screen, is there a way to select multiple transactions and reclassify them as a group? I have a few hundred entries in the Miscellaneous category that I need to categorize, and it would be so much faster if I could just go through and select all of the Food ining Out transactions and then cagetegorize them one time instead ofhaving to click open each and every one. Thanks, Dave |
