You might try changing the institution (<rightClick> SeeAccountSettings) for the account you want to delete. You might try removing the passport (File-> PasswordManager) and make your changes. Glad you have that backup. You might want to add a USB flash drive to the plan. |

| Hi Cal, Thanks for the quick reply. However, using the method you suggest deletes *all* the accounts from that bank: the personal accounts that I *do* want to delete, but also the business account that I do not want to delete. There appears to be no way to selectively delete the personal accounts so that the only account that shows is the business account. (As to the backup strategy, I am a long-time user of Money, and back up to hard disk each usage, and once a week to CD.) All best, John G. | As part of setup for Money 2005 Small Business edition, I imported the bank account associated with my business. However, since I have two other personal accounts at the same bank, information for those were imported as well. First I tried to delete those accounts, but it also deleted the business account that I wanted. Then, I tried "closing" the two personal accounts, and they appeared to disappear. However, all of the history of those two personal accounts is still buried somewhere, and reports like the handy "Spending by Category" pie chart on the opening page reflects data from my personal accounts and not the business account. Can anyone advise on how to purge the data from the closed personal accounts, so that only the data from the desired business account is reflected? Many thanks. |
