| Art, Thanks for your note. I am trying to do all of what your e-mail said. I also created a new Yodlee account, which read my BofA information in about 20 seconds. The balance was correct, but there was no activity after 11/3 (today is the 6th). I don't know what this means in the scheme of things, but it's still very frustrating. | I downloaded my BoA (All except CA, WA, ID) today using the manual OFX as I have since going to Money 05 and finding the BoA did not work correctly. I opened a case (SRZ040918001613) with MS support to try to resolve this issue Sept 13th. We have exchanged the better part of 50 email messages and it has been escalated twice. The test they asked me to perform this morning was: Dear Art, Thank you for your comments. As you indicated, the issue persists with your BOA accounts. I have contacted Yodlee about the issue and they are investigating this. At the same time, I would like to check the following 2 points which can be of help: Test the issue with a new Passport ============================== 1. Register a new Passport with a real e-mail address at http://www.passport.com. 2. Open a new window of Internet Explorer (click Start > Run, type iexplore and click OK.), go to http://moneycentral.msn.com, click the Sign In icon on the top right corner of the page and sign in with the new Passport. Note: If you see the Sign Out icon instead of the Sign In icon, this means that you have already signed in with your original Passport. Please make sure that you remember the information of your original Passport, click Sign Out, and then sign in with the new Passport. 3. Click My Accounts in the left pane. Add a new BOA account and let me know the results. Check the Account information on the Yodlee website directly ============================== 1. Please go to www.Yodlee.com in Internet Explorer. 2. Click Demo button and click "Register now, it's free" link. 3. During the registration, you will need to pick a username and a password. 4. After registration, please add the account in question and see if you are able to get the correct information there. This can help us to locate the problematic part very quickly. Regards, Cherry ----The following is the response I sent this morning which shows current status------ From: Response from Art Date: 11/6/2004 10:06:15 AM Problem Description: A. Testing with a new passport 1. I registered for a new passport (--deleted--) 2. Connected to moneycentral, signed in, and tried to create a new account containing Bank of America (all Except CA, WA, ID) 3. The bank does not appear in the list of banks!! Only Bank of America CA, BoA ID, BoA WA, and BoA (formerly Fleet). 4. Thus unable to set up for BoA (All except CA, WA, ID) B. I went to Yodlee.com to verify how it was working 1. Using my old account id (--deleted--) I verified that it has the Bank of America account still present. I noticed that it contains duplicates and is missing the transaction from yesterday which I had downloaded via OFX download this morning. 2. I then created a new account (--deleted--) and entered only Bank of America (All except CA, WA, ID) into this account. When it offered to enter my loan account and BoA bill pay I also selected them. I entered my account information and within 20 seconds it had set up my accounts. Verification of the data shows the account information is correct with the exception of missing the transaction from yesterday. Even the bill pay is correct. I do not see any duplicates in this download. ----end attachment--- Sorry to be so long but felt the information might prove useful. I have had other accounts fixed and now are working. I however often had to reset my passport account after they were fixed prior to getting them to work. What I have seen is that the MS Support is now recognizing that they can isolate the problem by having the user look at the OnYodlee account, the Moneycentral account without Money 05 connection, and finally at the Money 05 account. I know that in the end a Money 05 user does not care why it does not work, but the use of Yodlee has proven very difficult for MS and Yodlee to debug. | Steve, I laughed when I read your response. Mostly at myself. As I read somewhere: The absolute adherence to an opinion in the face of overwhelming facts is the refuge of the mediocre. I have worked with Quicken, which I have to say does its job wonderfully. However as my needs changed and I required more of integration with a portfolio, I looked to Money. I will take your advice, and reduce my stress level. Thanks, Tom "SJCOHEN730" <sjcohen730[at]aol.com> wrote in message news:20041105194147.00442.00000147[at]mb-m17.aol.com... - quote - > > Subject: B of A, Yodlee, or Money 05 problem? > > From: "Tom G" 123mpel[at]vms.huji.ac.il > > Date: 11/5/2004 1:56 PM Eastern Standard Time > > Message-id: <OhhFrk2wEHA.3108[at]TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl> > > I have been having problems downloading my information from BofA (not CA, > > WA, or ID). I'm not. And I use Bank of America as my bank. Why you ask? Yes, Tom. Apparently others are having similar problems. Fortunately for me, works with Money 2005 that doesn't work for you and your transactions at Bank of America? Well, I do all my transactions MANUALLY in Money. It really works well. It doesn't take a lot of my time. No where near the 2+ hours you spent on the phone. I get the information in Money the way I want it and , guess what? It is correct. You see, I spend a couple of minutes each day at the B of A web site with my account. I do the same with my credit card account. It really works. And guess what? I'm not too frustrated with Money. Been doing this for nine years and I think Money is the best $25 a year investment I've made. Of course, other peoples opinions may be different. Good luck. Steve |

| I have been having problems downloading my information from BofA (not CA, WA, or ID). It was working and then completely stopped working yesterday. After repeated attempts, I gave up and called technical support on Thursday [at] 6pm. After being on hold for 58 minutes, I got someone whose computer didn't work. I just gave up and tried again this morning at 8am (EST) - before the rest of America wakes up. After being on the phone for 2:20 with someone, I was told that there is a basic problem with the Yodlee server and Money '05 and that "it's being worked on." In the meantime, I'm dead in the water. Is anyone else having similar issues/problems? -- Cheers, Tom G. |
