Don,
You have the right idea, it doesnt really matter what is in the "pay to"
field. I dont know if it can be left blank, but really it is useful to put
something that describes the transaction, especially if it is a common one.
One useful thing about the payee name is the reports that can be done under
that name, if you use the reports often.
Hope that helps!

Default Question on electronic transfer with M04

I want to move money from checking to savings with the same bank. Both
accounts are setup in Money and have been for some time, and electronic
updates (check clearing etc.) works fine.

I have read on how to do a Transfer from the Account register (I can do a
similar thing from the Bills & Deposits window), and in the check number
field I select Xfer, etc. What confuses me is what do I put in the "Pay To"
field? I am just doing a "From" (checking) "To" (savings), do I just leave
"Pay To" blank?

I have formerly done these transfers via my bank's website, and waited for
the update to come into Money. I would like to do it all in Money now.
Thanks for the help!
