Hello,
I had something similar when upgrading from money2003 to money2005. I
cancelled the upgrade (to postpone it) and after that every time I would hit
the start button, or any hyperlink on any internet page, then it would try to
reinstall money 2003, which was already installed!
Fortunately, I was upgrading anyway, so I uninstalled Money 2003, and it
hasnt happened with 2005.

In addition, when .msi asks for the Money 2002 CD (which I don't have, thank
you HP) and I hit cancel, I get the following message:

Error 1706.No valid source could be found for product Microsoft Money 2002.
The windows installer cannot continue.

I have already tried KB 873279, which addresses the Error 1706, but it
didn't work. Help!

Default Out of nowhere, .msi wants to install!!!

Hello-

I have Money 2002 OEM with a HP Pavilion (Win XP), and all of a sudden, it
wants to install using the incredibly annoying *.msi (in this case
money.msi), and I have to hit it about 20 times before it stops and
(sometimes) Money installs.

Since it's OEM, I can't reinstall using a disk which would make life simple-
anybody have a suggestion?

Thanks

Steve C
