Your alternative would have been to enter the P&I and to leave the
interest rate blank. That way the payment amount matches the bank's
number, even if they calculate the interest rate slightly
differently.

Dick,
Thanks for the quick reply. The doubt you expressed caused me to go back
and try again whereupon I discovered my error. I was trying to let Money
calculate the P&I by adding the recommended balloon amount and changine the
P&I to zero. I now realize that I should have deleted the P&I amount that
had previously been entered. Thanks for helping me solve my problem.

Why doesn't it work? Many people would tell you this is how to do it. There
is no better way in subsequent versions, so upgrading will change nothing
for you.

Thanks for your reply.
I am using Money 2002 Deluxe. Your suggestion doesn't seem to work. Do I
have no choice but to upgrade?

Default Interest-Only Mortgage Loan

What is the best way to set up an interest-only ARM? Money wants to
calculate a payment consisting of principal plus interest.
