Their is a quick fix for the problem. the problem is a permissions issue. If
you go to Documents and settings then all users. Right click on the file and
go to permisions. make sure that you have full permissions to the folder and
it is not read only and it makes the changes to all sub folders. The invoice
design portion of the program has to be able to Write in the files located in
this DIR. You would think that the devloper of the software would know the
permisions in their own file system. After the changes were made I could
creae and modify the templets.

I had this same problem and it was driving me nuts because no matter what
you did, there was never an error message. I figured it out by researching
it. Apparently there is two files in the All Users folder that is Read-Only
so no changes can be saved. Check out:

This site helped me figure it out... SYSTEM AND HIDDEN files were not
displayed... I had just chosen HIDDEN.

It might be hidden as an O/S file then. In tools-> folder options-> view there
is an option to turn on hidden files and folders which I think you say is
on, there is also an option 'hide protected operating system files' which is
usually checked (it is on my machine, but I still see the All Users
directory). Which version of Windows are you running this on? I'm thinking
that it might not be XP..... You'll probably need to be an administrator
too.

Another option would be to run up a command prompt and try to CD into the
'All Users' directory.... that should indicate whether it's there soon
enough

I don't have an ALL USERS directory. I have ADMINISTRATOR, DEFAULT USER and
OWNER...DEFAULT USER is kind of a lighter color, so I assume that is the
hidden folder.

If there's a was to get an ALL USERS directory, please let me know.

Have you changed the search to include hidden files? If you have no .ntd
files, you have no custom invoices on your system. The instructions came
straight from MS.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data is, by default, a
hidden directory.

There are no *.ntd files on my computer.

Kind of tough to make a living if you can't send out invoices for the work
