There seems to me to be a lot more posts that says archiving is not
going to speed things up.

Be aware that an archive file is a copy of your Money file as it
existed at the time of archiving.

See FAQ available at http://umpmfaq.info/faq.html for some ideas.

Sorry for all the posts. It kept telling me the post failed every time I
tried to add it.

Default Money 2003 Performance

I upgraded in March 2004 from Money 98 to Money 2003.
I was able to copy 3-4 years of transactions across, but had to setup all my
Direct Debits again.

Money went fine until the beginning of this year, but since then the
performance has been gradually getting worse and it now takes 30 seconds to
amend or add a new transaction.

I have tried archiving as suggested in other posts and also tried changing
settings again suggested in other posts but it has made no difference.

Can anyone suggest anything?
Thanks
