| I will say the "You are in offline mode" issue occurs quite often for no reason at all. It is a random though and seems that it has not been occurring to me as much not. When this happens, the only thing I have to do is close the file, and immediately reopen it. This issue seems to occur when Money has been open for quite some time... you will be using it... doing whatever... and then actually want to perform an update or see the bank list and you get the error. Also, I was stuck in offline mode myself... nothing I did would fix it... every file I opened/created... All I did was do a uninstall of Money 2005 and then a reinstall... everything worked fine then. Also, I remember reading somewhere that someone had an issue where they were stuck in offline mode for one particular file. The file was converted from M2004 (I think)... always offline and there was no "Work Offline Option" on the Money sign-in screen. The way they fixed it was, uninstall Money 2005... reinstall Money 2004... and sure enough in Money 2004, the file was set for offline mode... they unchecked the offline box and then reconverted the file to 2005 and everything worked okay. Hope something there will help. Larry "Max" <nospam[at]notvalid.com> wrote in message news:%23KXQmYXsEHA.2712[at]TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... - quote - > I recently upgraded to 2005. Try doing an Internet update first.> online services, instead of a list of banks, I get: > "To set up your accounts, you must be online. Please close Money, and then > sign in to your file. | I recently upgraded to 2005. When I go to check if any of my banks have online services, instead of a list of banks, I get: "To set up your accounts, you must be online. Please close Money, and then sign in to your file. When you sign in, make sure the Work offline box is cleared." I'm obviously online and able to use other online features in Money. I can download accounts manually, but I'd like to see if any banks can do it automatically. -Max |
