| I've had that too, but as soon as I click ok and try to start Money again, it works. I've never had to actually kill the process. | Yep, that happens to me sometimes. Doesn't surprise me since so much else is broken in M2005 compared to M2004. | Two times this week I have closed Money Premium 2005 and it does the backup, then the UI disappears and it does the background compression of the file (I really liked it when Money 2004 and earlier would show you this) and then it seems to close the file but msmoney.exe is still running in the task manager. Clicking on the Money icon in the start menu just gives you an error that Money is already running. I have to go to the task manager and kill the msmoney.exe process and then start Money.
