You would probably like Adding the PriceAppreciation column with> obscures what the real gain is for just the new current position. SeeADifferentView-> CustomizeCurrentView-> PortfolioColumns. Remove Gain if you don't want that. When you select a column in either box, note that a description of that indicator appears. Explore the various choices. You are bound to have favorites. You can order the columns with MoveUp or MoveDown. Alternatively you can drag and re-size the column headings in the Portfolio views. Do a SaveAs for your favorite views. |

| I've discovered a curious bug in Money 2004. I had an investment in a mutual fund that I sold and liquidated in its entirety. Several months later I decided to get back into the fund and bought a new position. To be clear, I completely sold my initial position and then several months later I bought a new position in the same fund. When looking at my portfolio view, I see that Money 2004 displays the Gain column and includes the gain I had in the old position along with the gain in the new position. So it seems that the Gain column is a historical gain covering all history of owning the fund? Is this how this is supposed to work? To my way of thinking it is confusing since it obscures what the real gain is for just the new current position. Thanks. -CB |
