| I am having this same problem as well. I tried going to File > Password Manager and putting in my passport info but still no luck. Anyone have any other ideas? | I had the exact same problem and determined that the problem is that the .NET Passport used to login to purchase MS Money must match the .NET Passport to opent the .MNY file. You can accomplish this by chosing File -> Password Manager and changing the .NET Passport email address. | Everything on the site indicated that the downloaded version was the full version, not the trial. I did not get a link to download it until after payment had been made. There is a menu option on the Help menu that says "Register..." Clicking it does absolutely nothing, no dialog, no message box, nothing! And even if it did I did not receive any sort of confirmation email whatsoever, therefore, no MS supplies serial number to enter. For Money 2004, my confirmation contained a serial number. Somewhere in> shipping address at the time of purchase, which could imply the only > downloadable version is the trial. options or about there is the option to enter the serial number. Entering the serial number turned the trial version into a registered version. Best /Peter PS. An interesting curiosity in ``excellent design'' is that you can only enter the serial number within the trial version. Otherwise, it will simply report that the trial version has expired and close after you click OK. In that case, you have to temporarily set back the date of your computer. -- http://www.linearity.org/turtle/contact.html ``If we're an arrogant nation, they'll resent us. | I just clicked through the pre-lim links of buying Money online. Is the purchased version downloadable? It looked like you supplied a shipping address at the time of purchase, which could imply the only downloadable version is the trial. Were you e-mailed a receipt? Perhaps the answer can be found there, or at least it could be found with a quick call to our friends in Redmond. | I purchased MS Money 2005 Standard edition and downloaded it on 10/11/2004. It installed fine and when I started it up it told me it was downloading additional files. After the download finished it prompted me to restart Money. Since then the application reports that it is a trial which will expire in approx. 90 days. What gives??? I'm not paying $29.95 for a trial. How do I get the version I paid for? |
