| I am having the same problem. I din't see a solution yet in this thread. I posted in Money newsgroup hoping for an answer there. Microsoft has been no help. Is the solution perhaps to have a separate passport account for MSN and Money? | Winston: I agree with Eric that I can do things on my computer that once in a while log me out of MSN and will not log me back in automatically as I have requested by checking the box on MSN sign in from my browser. However, for me, it was a rare occurrence until I installed Money 2005. Now - WITHOUT FAIL - every time I log into Money 2005 with my passport, it logs me out of MSN with my browser and I have to sign in EVERY TIME after that until I log off the machine. | Hi All: I've been using Money 2005 SBE for about 3 weeks now. There are definitely some bugs, but I can be patient with it - for now. However, there is one problem that is aggravating to me on a daily basis. When I log into Windows XP SP2 and launch a browser, my home page is set to My MSN home page. I have my passport set up to sign in automatically every time - so I launch a browser and I'm automatically signed in and go directly to my personal MSN page. However, if I launch Money 2005 later and sign in with my passport or Money 2005 automatically downloads statements according to a schedule associated with my passport sign in, then I'm logged out of all my other passport-enabled applications - like the browser. In other words, during the same session, if I launch the IE browser again, I'm taken to a MSN sign in page - even though I've previously signed in and set it up to keep me signed in. This certainly was NOT the behavior with Money 2004 and previous versions. Details: I log onto XP SP2, launch an IE browser. It immediately goes to my MSN home page associated with my passport (e.g. johndoe[at]hotmail.com). I never have to sign in - even the initial time I launch a browser during a session. However, I launch Money 2005 and sign in with my passport and later exit Money 2005 (or keep it open, doesn't matter). The next time I launch a browser, I get the MSN sign in page with "johndoe" in the User Name entry block and the Password entry null. This will continue throughout the session until I log off XP. Aggravating! Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? Is there any workaround or something I'm supposed to know to prevent Money 2005 from logging me out of MSN with other applications. Thanks for any insight. |
