If bills/deposits isn't recording it correctly, then you might need to
recreate the bill. Take a backup before you do this though

Delete the incorrect bill in bills/deposits.

What you can then do is move the loan account into the debt reduction
planner, follow through the steps and let it create the transaction at the
end.

Check you've now got one in the bills/deposits place, and then go back to
the DRP and remove the loan account from it. Do not delete the bill if it
asks, and don't subsequently modify the bill (but you should check that it
again says 'calculated' in the split).

Default Money 2004 and loan payments headache

Hi,

I have money 2004 and with it I have a Student loan set up with
recurring monthly payments.

For wahtever reason Money does not calculate the amounts for principal
and Interest anymore for the recurring payments.

Let me explain, if I check in the reports gallery the loan amortization
report, money does show the breakdown of the montlhy payments correctly.
Example, 02/11/2004 payment number 48, payment amount 103.04 principal
$76.47 interest $26.57 and the shows the balance.

And this is fine.
Now if I go into the personal chaequing account and select a new
withdrawl for a new loan payment this is what shows up in the split
screen:
Principal Transfer : Student loan Description Principal: Amount $152.39
Loan:Student Loan Interest : Description Interest: Amount $0.40.

And I can't find a way to correct this.
I have another loan that is workign fine and in the splits screen the
amount sections shows as <calculated> .

I've run the repair option, msmoney -s many times without success.

How can I fix this please??

Thanks.
