Clicked Restore Defaults on the Advanced tab? I know it seems extreme to loosen things like this. Perhaps tomorrow somebody, maybe me, can be more specific as to some more things to try. But the good part is that you have the install and update. The problem is apparently just settings. |

I did what you said and I was able to get money the new file without using my .NET passport like you had mentioned though. I didn't seem to give me an option. When I went back to my user though I still get the same errors. Any other ideas??? |

I would try creating a new user with Administrator privilege. Switch to that user, Install Money, and let Money with a new blank file without Passport (disagree during setup). Let Money download the updates as that user. Then switch to your normal user and do the conversion. The theory is that if the problem is an IE6 setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE6 settings will not have been changed. |

| I just upgraded from 2001 deluxe to 2005 premium. It seemed to go through the install process ok, even asking me if it could uninstall 2001 of which I said yes. After everything seemed to install ok I tried to start the app and I get the following dialog box "Security Alert: Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded" ... I have since disabled my antivirus software and turned off the XP sp2 firewall and set the security and privacy settings on internet explorer to low to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
