You are correct: M02+ do not have the ability to project balances based on
arbitrary combinations of scheduled transactions selected with
"multi-select".

Some people miss this a lot. I almost never used it because the transactions
I have scheduled are scheduled in order and are not optional. Since I have
to pick, I find then M02+ ability to edit individual occurrences, from the
next 12, much more valuable to my cash flow forecasts.

As to jumping from M02 to M05, I do not recommend M05 for most people and
returned my copy for my money back. See http://umpmfaq.info/Money2005.htm
for why. YMMV.

M02 is where it "disappeared" or, for many of us, migrated to Forecast Cash
Flow.

Perhaps this comment is only five months late, but it would be really nice to
get back the functionality within bills and deposits that lets you see ALL of
your bills AND deposits out as much as one year. This functionality
disappeared w/ the 2003 version and it is sorely missed as you can see by
searching on "bills and deposits" in this message board. thanks.

I really don't know where the download comes from - it could be MSN but it
could be somewhere else. I've received the download on three different
machines, none of which were running a passport-enabled datafile. All are
behind a firewall and have internal IP addresses.

I have a firewall, but it is not blocking the msn site. MSN comes over just
fine over Broadband. Just not my data. The synch periodically works only
if I follow the lead of another poster and restore the backup to MSN.
Perhaps you might clarify for us the relationship between MSN and M05 as to
the file data that is being shared. Does the file have the same name on
each 'site' or is it the data itself that is simply shared. When I try to
sych at present, I get red ink as the quantites given are frequently
negative. Perhaps due to short sales, that of course we never made. My
data itself passes the tests that are on the file fix testing function. I
have basically given up on the portfolio function. I used it every day till
M05. Now I am getting used to going directly to the brokerages, or to
yodlee to view my holdings.

What kind of internet connection do you have? A firewall that might be

Default Custom invoice templates

I cannot get custom invoice templates to work in 2005
Small Business. I exported my custom invoices from my
2004 file before upgrading, and can import them into the
2005 invoice designer, but as soon as I save and exit
Invoice Designer, they are gone.

The custom invoice does NOT appear in the list of
available templates to choose in print preview.

Any ideas?

It should come down automatically, with a note that it is doing so, first
time you go on-line.

The sharing feature was the only reason I upgraded this year. I've wanted
that feature for a long time and it's not working. Can you give us some
info on that?

thanks!

Default A Note from the Product Team

Thank you for this post. At least we know now someone is
working on helping us out. I can see some improvement.
I'm able to download data from my accounts now, if I do it
early in the morning. In the evening I get errors. but
the account registers won't show me what has been
downloaded, so I can accept them. This just started this
week. Also when I open up money I get an error, but if I
click on OK 8 times, it will go ahead and open up the
money file.

Thanks again for letting us know someone is helping us
with these problems.

Thanks for posting, we all appreciate it.

Complaints out number pats-on-the-back, so you're going to have to be
thick skinned to endure it all. But we do appreciate you and the
product team reading, and posting here!

What a novel concept... "none of the above"!

If I want something, I'll look for it on my own. How
many serious investors do you know that like having
something dictated to them?

Don't you know the Homeland security boys, the local police department, and
just about every other governmental agency just LOVE the thought of people
keeping their financial data with Microsoft.

Hey, Russ, here's a start on improving Microsoft Money 2005. Quit
downloading crap into my financial software without my direct permission to
do so. I just love one of the options I found a few minutes ago on the
Investing page, which makes me feel like I am in total control of Microsoft
Money 2005 . . . NOT! The option gives me total control (ha ha) on which
MSN Financial Partner I want advertised in my financial software program.
Let's see, I can choose Ameritrade, Consumer Info, LendingTree, or even
rotate all three of them as advertisers. Here's a novel idea, Russ: Put
one more option on the list. That option would be "None of the above". And
while you're at it, make "None of the above" the default option.

In addition to fixing the clear flaws in the new functionality, how about
fixing some of the bugs that have been there for years? I'm not talking
about gaps in features but actual dysfunctions that are clearly unintended.

Hope you have your shields up.

I do appreciate you posting here, thank you. First, I like the new interface
on the trial I downloaded. Second, I find it no slower than previous
versions. Now, please, please listen to the customers and fix the common
bugs that have not been fixed over the years(Small Biz - fix invoice
designer/saving custom invoices bugs, make it so we can send nice looking
invoices via email), please add back the removed features we liked, please
don't make it all web - we need to feel we have control over our financial
files, please make a product that makes us say WOW!, I have to upgrade and
cannot do without Money.
