Welcome to Money 05 <G> . It's a really bad joke or dream. I also had the
freezing and corrupt conversions. What a nightmare!

Default Re: Money 2005 file conversion issue from 2004

I have had problems with the file updating from Money 2004. Deposits look
like deposits, but in the running balance for the account they are
calculated as withdrawals; mysterious investment accounts appeared in my
portfolio (with Vanguard, which others seem to have had problems with);
account starting balances were changed.

Fortunately, I had a backup and went back to Money 2004. I removed my
accounts from MSN Money and removed my passport from my Money file. Then
the updating goes better, but I still had to adjust the starting balance of
one of my accounts because Money changed it. However, if I try to put my
accounts back in MSN Money, those mysterious Vanguard accounts appear again.

For now, I'm still using 2004 and may switch if I hear reports that these
problems are addressed. My larger concern is that I might switch and be
unaware of changes that Money made to my accounts during the upgrade. I'd
hate to start using 2005 for a couple months and find some big problems I
didn't happen to notice earlier.

Default Money 2005 file conversion issue from 2004

Bought the software and loaded it to my laptop. Did the
file conversion (running 2004) and it opened the
file......once the first update occurred the application
goes dead - screen freeze. Now when I open 2005 the
screen immediately freezes.........I also noticed in my
directory that my original file which was about 10mg is
now 60mg............

When I create a new file in 2005 it works fine and
everything is good. So it appears the Money 2005 is have
a problem with my existing 2004 money file.........

Anyone else having this problem????????
