You would want to call TD Waterhouse customer service in advance and ask them to set you up for Microsoft Money. They will give you an additional account number and password for the Direct Access. So yes, the position data would be downloaded. But it would be an AddShares dated today rather than a Buy with price information, so you should go back and convert each AddShares to a Buy with the proper data. You will need that data if you sell, but not if the shares are part of your estate. - quote - > If that is correct, it's a bummer. It would have been

TD Waterhouse probably does have your year-end statements online (click eServices) back to 1999 which would include your purchase data. Money will not download that information. I don't know how it works at Schwab. It is probably similar. |

| Hi all, I bet there is an easy answer to this question, but I just want to make sure. When we connect to one of the security brokerages through Money (I'm using Premium 2004), we are only able to download transactions, correct? This is all I am able to do. It will not download our positions or contents of our porfolio, correct? We have to build that by adding investment by investment manually, correct? If that is correct, it's a bummer. It would have been great if we were able to download all positions, and even the original prices and totals of security shares we purchased even from many years ago. I am not able to remember original purchase prices, so I have to go digging through paperwork! Thanks, Paul |
