| It's correct. Same problem here even I also gave my 2 days to find out any solution, Finally I turned to newsgroup looking for that. Worst part was for me, it's not even accept and change button. It's directly getting entered in my register, no setting helping me. | Yes, I have encountered the same thing when updating from BOA via the automated updates. It's actually kind of sad as the underlying service from Yodlee (free at www.yodlee.com) is quite impressive. |

| By manually going to the Bank of America site, and downloading the Money 2000 (OFX) file , you can update almost any version of Money and the transaction matching works very well. You just need to make sure you choose the download option for Money 2000, and not the Quicken or QIF options. If you want to have MSN/Yodlee (only available in 2005) connect to the bank for you so that you don't have to go through the extra step of connecting to the BOA site first, that's what doesn't work as well as far as transaction matching. -Bill "Heath" <heathcurtiss[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:OWHc8TvqEHA.3520[at]TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl... - quote - > Can I update from within 2004? | Can I update from within 2004? I've already purchased Money 2005. I might just have to turn off online updating through Yodlee and download my statements from the BofA website directly. | I ran into the same issue and spent about three hours working with it on Sunday. After downloading the transactions, you can make changes to them such as the payee's name, category and check number. As soon as you go to download the transactions again, if enough information about the original transaction has changed, it will download it again. I went through this routine about 4 times, each time trying to keep the transaction that it was downloading with no luck. I believe this has something to do with Yodlee's engine, but I'm not really sure. My solution to this problem, as well as all of the other upgrade problems, was to uninstall Money 2005 and go back to Money 2004 for now. -Bill "Heath" <heathcurtiss[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:eDAPh5uqEHA.896[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... - quote - > When I download statements directly from Bank of America, the downloaded > transactions match up nicely with my manually entered transactions and I > just have to "accept" them. | When I download statements directly from Bank of America, the downloaded transactions match up nicely with my manually entered transactions and I just have to "accept" them. However, when I update through Money 2005 (I believe through Yodlee), instead of retrieving the transactions directly from BofA, the downloaded entries are input into the register as new transactions creating duplicates. If I just erase the new entry, it will create another one the next time I update. I have to erase the old entry and re-input all the data into the new transaction. I want to download from within Money so I don't have to go to three different Bank of America sites to get statements. Is there a way to either force Money to match up transactions or merge duplicate transactions? Heath |
