| FYI: The problem occurs whether you do it from within Money or download the OFX from the site since the bug exists in the import logic. | Have you tried the on-line update feature? I couldn't get it to work. If you have the same problem, then it would confirm my suspection that the 401k account is the cause. "Myron J. | I am downloading it from Vanguard's site, and Money then imports it. Money goes through a few dialogs, so that I have a chance to see that it is screwing up and tell it not to wipe out my positions. | Yes, I just noticed the same problem this morning when comparing the OFX import result between Money 2004 and 2005... I think this might be the reason that I still can't use the "on-line update" feature connecting to Vanguard in 2005. I was wondering why some others users are not expereincing the same problem, now I suspect it's because they don't have a 401k account with Vanguard. Myron, are you using the on-line update or downloading the OFX from Vanguard's web site manually? | I've reported this bug but you should also open an incident as well. It appears that the downloaded OFX data contains multiple entries for a single position. | Today tried downloading my Vanguard 401(k) into Money 2005 for 1st time. (It had been working just fine in Money 2004.) Instead of adding little bits of stock as usual, it was ready to wipe out most of my holdings. Luckily, I caught it in time and entered the recent transactions manually. Myron |
