| I wonder if, in addition to difficulty, there may also issues of market expectations and competition. Given that it's often the same institution (e.g., Citibank), maybe as a bank, Citi sees active statements as both a source of revenue (like bounced checks) and something that won't determine where a customer elects to go. But, as a credit card issuee, Citi seems active statements as something it has to offer for free; otherwise customers may well go elsewhere (a Mastercard is a Mastercard). Good question. -- Michael Gordon MVP "Steve Hanson" <info[at]moveon.org> wrote in message news:vej1m0h7s1506v62jcp826ikrk6uo18cei[at]4ax.com... - quote - > lawrence wrote in <OmBL$yZqEHA.592[at]TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl> : <snip > I do wonder why most of my credit cards offer direct connection with > Money/Quicken for free but none of my banks do. Chase Bank of Texas does allow unlimited connects. I only mention> automatically downloading and everything. You need to get in touch with > chase and they will send you a new password and login for Money to connect > to chase. Chase also charges you a fee and you do not have unlimited > connects a month(the deal is the same with quicken, so if you don't want to > pay, you got to switch banks...) that if the original user is banking from Texas. The fee is $5.95. I do wonder why most of my credit cards offer direct connection with Money/Quicken for free but none of my banks do. Is it really that difficult? |

| Chase IS a big and also a GREEDY bank! That is the reason why you can't download your account information directly into Money. I called their online service phone number (888-686-2593) and they told me they are perfectly aware of the problem. There is no access for Chase credit card or mortgage account holders to do this directly unless you open a Chase checking or other bank account and even then you must pay anywhere from $2.95 to $5.95 per month just to download YOUR own account info, more to do bill paying. Lets hope this greed doesn't extend over to Bank One and First USA credit card accounts now that Chase has merged with them! - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Chase is a big bank and offers online services, but they > are not an option for Money to download from. | I ran into the same difficulty in not being able to download Chase directly from within Money(except by separately logging into Chase and downloading). It's not on their list as you stated. I have contacted MS about it and when/if I get an answer I will certainly post it here. Does Quicken work with Chase? - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Chase is a big bank and offers online services, but they > are not an option for Money to download from. Why? > . |

| I wondered this too... Yodlee does support Chase Credit Cards, however, Money does not have it in the list. Maybe something that will be fixed when MS gets the bank lists straightened out. As for JPMorgan Chase in the list, this will only work with direct banking (OFX) which is only available with Chase bank accounts... and of course, has a fee. | http://www.chase.com/cm/cs?pagename=...n/icob/options, but it doesn't seem to be free. I think it may also apply only to banking, not to credit cards. I use ChaseOnline to set up automatic payment for a Chase credit card on which I carry a balance, but my activity is very low - only 1 transaction per month (the payment). -- Chris Cowles, Gainesville, FL "Adrian Hyde" <anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:378701c4a8f4$7a5fecd0$a601280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > Chase is a big bank and offers online services, but they > are not an option for Money to download from.
