| There are about 10 - all with historical data, including (from memory) various such as Israeli Shekels, Turkish Lira, Malaysian Ringit, UAE whatevers, Jordanian Ryals, Syrian Pounds . I lived overseas for a while so there are quite a few - there are more that I can't remember without going through the instalation again. I'm pretty sure all of those tha pop up in Money 2005 were created by me, rather than being pre-listed in Money 99. I get a series of messages telling me the currency isn't supported and I need to specify another one. This seems a bit odd and I'm worried that using another nominal currency might affect my historical data by assigning an incorrect exchange rate. Frankly, this flexible, multiple currency approach - where you can manually add them to the list and specify the exchange rate - is one of the things I like about 99. I don't know when MS stopped supporting it. Anyway, after I assign another pre-listed currency to each of the self-entered ones that pop up the conversion hangs and task manager says that Money is not responding. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Can you list the currencies which you are using in 99 that you need in > 2005 - it would be worth checking whether the ones you want are in the later > version. > -- > Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money > http://money.mvps.org > Check http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx? scid=fh;EN-GB;mny > for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. | Can you list the currencies which you are using in 99 that you need in 2005 - it would be worth checking whether the ones you want are in the later version. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. | I have earlier attached a question about this to the bottom of a post called "Conversion of 2003 file", but my problem seems to be more complicated, so I thought I would start again. After installing and when converting my 99 file I first encounted the problem message "A file needed to run the Planner is either missing or corrupted". I followed the advice and downloaded the registry edit for this at: http://money.mvps.org/patches.htm and this seems to get me passed that immediate problem. However, I'm then asked to convert a whole lot of foreign currencies from my old file that are no longer supported (which seems to be a step backward with the new version btw). After this it just hangs. I have tried salvaging the file and have used both the downloadable tool in knowledge base article 274584 and the tool in the Money 2005. Both report no problems with my old file. I'm at a loss and will probably take it back to the shop and go back to 99, unless anyone can help? |
