As far as I can see this does not mean it's in the drop down list which is purely a floppy disk. its just saying redirect to cdr/dvdr This is how I read it anyway Pete |

| Perhaps it doesn't meet this requirement from the MSKB: Note This method requires that you use third-party software to copy files to your writable CD or DVD drive just like the way that you copy files to a hard disk. This third-party software they refer to is typically "packet writing" software. Names include DirectCD (from Roxio Easy Coaster Creator) or InCD (from Nero). Can Notepad save to your CD? If it can't, then Money won't be able to, either. | In Money 2004, why wouldn't it list an available CD-RW to back up to in the drop down box at Tools/Options/Backup? According to this article in the MS Knowledge Base: http://support.microsoft.com/default...30&Product=mny http://tinyurl.com/4bzoj ....it should list it, and on another machine that I have Money 2004 installed on, it lists the A: and a ZIP drive I have installed as D:, but no CD-RW drive. What am I missing that's keeping these two machines from seeing the CD-R/CD-RW as an available drive to write to? -- bill evans WHEvansIIINO[at]SPAMcharter.net Hartselle, AL Freeman Dyson: "It's best not to limit our thinking.
