| This really blows! This is exactly what I do for my business... I get 3-4 checks or payments for unpaid invoices, go to the bank then make the deposit as one deposit... This does not then match my downloaded statement! Microsoft, get off your lazy ass and fix this... | This is not a limitation. It's a bug that they won't fix. This was working just fine in Money 2001 -2 "Vadim Rapp" <vr[at]myrealbox.nospam.com> wrote in message news:eeAWjMbpEHA.324[at]TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl... - quote - > Hello anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com: > You wrote in conference microsoft.public.money on Tue, 28 Sep 2004 > 14:38:08 -0700: > a> Did MS fix the issue > (without even reading forther) - No. > a> with receiving invoices in MS Money 2005 Samll Business? | I think I know what you guys are talking about, but I am not for sure. I have Small Biz 2003. When I do paypal transfers to my bank account, I create an invoice and then wait for the transaction to be downloaded and change the transaction type to payment for invoice and run through the apply payment to invoice screens. Are you telling me this is no longer possible? If not, I will not upgrade. <anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:03eb01c4a5a3$72495f80$a401280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > Did MS fix the issue with receiving invoices in MS Money > 2005 Samll Business? | You cannot match invoice payments to downloaded transactions in Money View products that this article applies to. SYMPTOMS You cannot match download transactions to invoice payments in any one of the products that is listed in the "Applies To" section of this article. CAUSE This issue occurs because Microsoft Money does not support matching downloaded transactions to invoice payments. WORKAROUND To work around this issue, create a new cash account in your Microsoft Money file to receive invoice payments. Transfer the funds to the appropriate account, and then match the downloaded transactions to the fund transfer. MORE INFORMATION To match transactions as described in the "Workaround" section, you must configure Money to manually accept downloaded transactions. To do this, follow these steps: Start Money. Click Tools, and then click Options. Click Online Services. In the Match transactions within a () day range box, type 30. Click to clear the Automatically accept all downloaded transactions from banking statements check box. Click OK. | Hello anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com: You wrote in conference microsoft.public.money on Tue, 28 Sep 2004 14:38:08 -0700: a> Did MS fix the issue (without even reading forther) - No. a> with receiving invoices in MS Money 2005 Samll Business? In 2004 you a> could not match invoice payments to downloaded transactions .. has this a> been corrected in 2005 version? This is not a bug but rather a limitation, Follows the response from ms support on the incident I opened a while ago about this problem. ========= ....in this case, the reason that the transaction will not match is because it is a payment for invoice. This is a product limitation for this version of Money. The OFX format, is unable to tell the difference between a simple deposit and one that is matched to another transaction (Invoice in this case). When it displays the list of possible matches, it looks only for simple deposits, and is not able to match to the payment since this category is an internal money type of transaction and is no longer recognized as a deposit. ========= Vadim |
