| Yes. You only have the option now of between 1 and 99 minutes. -- ----------- Joe Guidera jguidera[at]msn.com.remove "Retired Coal Miner" <...[at]...> wrote in message news:5MOdnTevZbCLw8jcRVn-vA[at]comcast.com... - quote - > Is this different from M03 (and M04) where you can control this via > Internet Updates > Customize Updates > Quotes and Exchange Rates > Download Quotes and Exchange Rates every: {X | hrs/mins/days} > Bob Peel, MVP wrote: > > Like you I can see no point in getting stock prices more than once a > > week. | Can't say for that path as it requires a Passport/background banking. I can say that my M05 file has updated without my ever having told it to. There is also an option at Portfolio|Update prices|Update automatically (every 30 minutes). Clearing this seems to have NO EFFECT on whether or not it reaches out and gets quotes. | Like you I can see no point in getting stock prices more than once a week. I am not trading I am into stocks as a long term investment and once a week is more than enough. Also I seem to remember that frequent stock price updates was a cause of file bloat. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | I don't care for this either, and when I reported it during the beta, I was told that there was no way to disable that feature, but that it was "Postponed for future consideration." -- Regards, Kimberly Griego Microsoft MVP - Consumer Products "SJCOHEN730" <sjcohen730[at]aol.com> wrote in message news:20040924134254.18151.00003625[at]mb-m03.aol.com... - quote - > I am getting continuous market price updates in Money 2005 Deluxe. | Cant control it. I was in the beta program and thought this was a bug. | I am getting continuous market price updates in Money 2005 Deluxe. I have a cable company as my ISP providing continous DSL (not dial-up connection). I access the internet thru AOL. When I open Money 2005 even when AOL is NOT open I see up to date price changes which, of course, changes my Net Worth numbers continuously. I didn't experience this with Money 2004 Deluxe. My question is: Is there any control within Money 2005 which would allow me to indicate WHEN and HOW OFTEN I want these updates entered into Money? If so, please give me a detail on exactly how to get to the control screen. Thanks. Steve. |
