| No response here to this query, so I used the Microsoft technical help system. Got a very prompt response from them the guts of it I quote here: "Actually, we received feedback from several customers regarding the same problems. We have reported the issues to our product team. They are aware of this issue and have been working on a resolution. If there is any update, I will let you know as soon as possible and your understanding is appreciated. Meanwhile, I would like to provide a temporary workaround which can help us to correct this problem before the new fix is released. We can manually modify the invoice template source code and change the template from Landscape to Portrait. Please follow the steps below: 1. Open the Invoice Designer. 2. Click File > Open and open a Portrait template. 3. Customize this template and save the customized invoice template. 4. Click File > Export to export the template into an .inv file. 5. Open this .inv file in Notepad. 6. The beginning several lines should look like: **** My Invoice Templates backup**** 1 //This is customized template numbers 10 My Invoice Template //This is the name you inputted for this template) Landscape //This is print type 7. Check the print type, if it is Landscape, please change it to Portrait. 8. Save the .inv file and import it back to the Invoice Designer. 9. Choose the option "Replace existing template". Then check if the invoice can be printed in Portrait with this template. In addition, I have attached a Knowledge Base article below for your reference. Customized template appears in landscape orientation in Money 2004 Small Business http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;837887 " So now I know it wasn't just me! | I'm using Money 2004 Small Business edition with winXP. I go into Invoice Designer and open the template 'Service Portrait 1 (Logo)'. This opens, and gives me nearly enough to the invoice layout I would want subject to a few minor alterations. If I then save this template as a new template (with or without any alterations), open the invoice feature within Money and select this new template as the one I want to use, the print preview gives me a landscape orientation of this invoice. It also prints as landscape. (Choosing the original 'Service Portrait 1 (Logo)' template does result in a portrait orientation). I have tried going into the printer setup selections both within Money and within Windows to ensure that the printer is set to portrait mode, and reset this. That makes no difference. Still get landscape. Anyone come across this quirk? Anyone know of a fix? Thanks, Peter -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |
