Another "feature" of this issue is that you can also end up at a point where
you can no longer access your Billpay account through the web. The only way
I can now access Billpay is to go back to 2004 and pay bills through the old
version.

Maybe Russ Paul-Jones with Microsoft can shed some light on this.
He's the one that "helped" those who had the passport sign-in issue
back in July/August.

For me Money 2005 is nothing short of a miracle. As
someone who has used Quicken for years and on
occasion "tried" Money to see if it better... Money 2005
just jumps so far ahead it isn't funny? Why?

Simple: ONLINE BANKING.

Both my wife and I have 401k and 403b plans from small
brokerages that neither Money nor Quicken ever supported.
We use Citibank and only Quicken supported that and even
then only with certain account types (some accounts we
had to manually download files and import.)

Money 2005... IT SUPPORTS FULL DOWNLOADING OF EVERYTHING!
Every small brokerage: yep it is there. Every account
with Citibank: yep it is there.
